The saying of Mahatma Gandhi inspires me: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
I have a Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. On my journey, I decided it would be a great thing to work with people who struggle with addiction issues. In 2005, I went to Washburn again for two years and received a certification in addiction counseling, which is now a licensed addiction counselor.
Coming from my journey with addiction is why I got into this field. I enjoy helping clients who struggle with addiction, and it’s rewarding to see how my efforts have helped them.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my golden retriever, Rosie. I also enjoy playing in the Granny Basketball League and pickleball.
