Introducing: Feinberg Hope Foundation
We are excited to announce the development of the Feinberg Hope Foundation, a donor-restricted fund within The Children’s Foundation which was created to reduce the financial hardship in receiving addiction and mental health treatment for adolescents and young adults in need. This foundation will provide individuals with the opportunity to receive compassionate guidance, personalized treatment recommendations, and the tools necessary for lifelong recovery.
Why is the Feinberg Hope Foundation so important?
Addiction, substance abuse, and mental health disorders have plagued society for generations. While they all remain prevalent today, the cost of care is high, leading to challenging financial barriers that get in the way of individuals and families seeking the treatment and recovery resources they need. A tremendous number of adolescents, young adults, and their families suffer needlessly due to the devastation caused by addiction and mental health conditions. The stigma associated with addiction and mental health is significant, and even with medical insurance, the insurance company’s reimbursements are insufficient in covering the cost of treatment.
Throughout my life and career, I have witnessed so many people who want help, yet do not have the financial ability to receive it. Feinberg Hope Foundation provides financial support for those who cannot otherwise receive the treatment they need to heal and transform their lives. Hope is the foundation of where people can be to start their recovery journey. The ability of the Feinberg Hope Foundation to provide support, hope, and access to services will be tremendous for many who are suffering.

How does Feinberg Hope Foundation work?
In honor of those still suffering, and the lives lost to the disease of addiction, Pam Feinberg-Rivkin and Steve Feldman created the Feinberg Hope Foundation to provide much-needed support and resources for families in need. Through their passion for providing hope and healing to individuals and families suffering from an addiction or mental health disorder, they hope to continue to change lives and allow families to experience the gift of recovery.
Feinberg Hope Foundation is a donor-restricted fund within The Children’s Foundation. It is funded through a collaboration of donors that include individuals, foundations, and other sources. The Children’s Foundation is the largest funder dedicated solely to advancing the health and wellness of children and families in the state of Michigan and beyond. The money raised for Feinberg Hope Foundation will be awarded as scholarships for adolescents and young adults in need of care.
Feinberg Hope Foundation is so important to me because we will be able to make a huge difference in the course of someone’s life. I am so grateful to be part of something that will allow access to residential treatment to individuals who would not otherwise be able to receive this level of care.
